Getting to Cass
Our first train ride was to be in the mountains of West Virginia the following morning, so we had some driving to do. Along the way, we saw some interesting sights.

For example, a brief wrong turn took us by the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library.

Getting back on the right road, we saw this watering-can sculpture.

There are always interesting signs around.

A scenic turnout touted Confederate breastworks, but the scenery was not what you might have expected.

We did see a colorful hillside or two

and got a friendly welcome to West Virginia.

It began to rain, but we finally arrived at the town of Cass, where we moved into a company house designed to house up to six people.
