Shortly after leaving Kylemore Abbey, and just as it was starting to rain, we saw a young woman hitchhiking. Her sign said "Westport," which was where we were staying that night. We pulled over and picked up our first-ever hitchhiker, Katie.

Katie was on her way home to New Jersey from her stint in Thailand with the Peace Corps.
