Metamorphosis of the Monarch Caterpillar

The chronicle of the metamorphosis of a monarch caterpillar has been divided into stages:

• Hang Time in which the caterpillar prepares to change
• Bustin' Out in which the caterpillar sheds his skin
• Last Dance in which the caterpillar turns into a chrysalis
• ...then a miracle occurs... in which the butterfly emerges from the chrysalis

Most images are links to links to larger versions of the same image. One image is accompanied by a "super-size me" link, which shows the picture in all its original, bandwidth-gobbling, 4-megapixel glory.
