Our first stop was a B&B in Vermont. We wanted to be able to say we'd been to the state, plus the King Arthur Baking Company is there. The Norwich Bed & Breakfast is on an old farm, and already the autumn leaf show was outstanding.
Though the farmhouse was old (they had pictures of the sugar maple out front when it was small!), the guest suite was comfortably up-to-date.
We dawdled at the King Arthur store, buying a nifty All Edges Brownie Pan (which I looks like KA doesn't sell any more).
