In addition to the rooms, there are more traditional museum spaces, full of Americana. There is also space for traveling exhibits. "Fashions from Films" was there when we went. The sheer number of things collected here is overwhelming. There's just not time to appreciate it all.

Shelly was most impressed with the realism of this 1823 portrait by Samuel Lovett Waldo and William Jewett.
